This meeting of representatives of the competent authorities for medical devices in the EU Member States and in the states of the European Economic Area, with participation of representatives of the European Commission and of the EU accession candidates, routinely takes place once during each Council Presidency. The meeting will provide a forum for the deliberation and discussion of topics of common interest as to the implementation of the medical devices legislation, the safeguarding of an effective use of national resources at a European level and the effective handling of questions of a strategic nature.
