BfArM Meets Europe: Shaping the EHDS

Am 24. und 25. November 2025 laden die DACO und das BfArM zum Health Data Event nach Bonn ein.

• Tag 1 richtet sich an nationale Stakeholder und bietet Einblicke internationaler Expertinnen und Experten. Im Fokus stehen Fragen wie: Wie entwickelt sich der EHDS auf europäischer Ebene? Welche Erfolgsgeschichten gibt es? Was kann Deutschland daraus lernen?
  Präsentiert werden u. a. der französische Health Data Hub sowie das von Sitra koordinierte nordische Projekt VALO (Value from Nordic Health Data). Außerdem geben EU-Projekte wie HDP4Germany und TEHDAS2 sowie nationale Akteure wie das FDZ Gesundheit, genomDE und die Krebsregister Einblicke in ihre Arbeit. In Vorträgen und Panels geht es um Erfahrungen, Herausforderungen und Lessons Learned – ergänzt durch vielfältige Vernetzungsmöglichkeiten.
• Tag 2 ist exklusiv für Direct Grant Receivers zum Aufbau von Health Data Access Bodies (HDABs) reserviert, die Teil der EHDS2 Community of Practice sind. Im Mittelpunkt steht der Austausch über konkrete Kooperationsmöglichkeiten zwischen den europäischen Partnern.

Zweites HealthDCAT-AP Webinar

Anlässlich der Public Consultations der TEHDAS2-Dokumente veranstaltet die DACO ein zweites HealthDCAT-AP Webinar. Die aktuellen Ergebnisse werden vorgestellt, diskutiert und in den Kontext der nationalen Umsetzung eingeordnet.

Nationales Arbeitstreffen zur EHDS-Infrastruktur

Der Aufbau einer dezentralen Infrastruktur zur Datennutzung in Deutschland ist mit vielen offenen Fragen verbunden. Um diesen Prozess zu strukturieren, plant die DACO ein erstes Info- und Arbeitstreffen für nationale Stakeholder. Weitere Informationen und die Einladung folgen voraussichtlich im November.

Die DACO freut sich auf zahlreiche Registrierungen und auf die aktive Mitgestaltung der nächsten Schritte zur Gesundheitsdatennutzung in Deutschland und Europa.

This fall offers a wide range of events through which DACO is advancing the national development of secondary use within the framework of the European Health Data Space (EHDS). This newsletter provides an overview of opportunities for your involvement.

BfArM Meets Europe: Shaping the EHDS

On 24–25 November 2025, DACO and BfArM will host a Health Data Event in Bonn.

• Day 1 addresses national stakeholders and offers insights from international experts. Key questions include: How is the EHDS developing at the European level? What success stories exist across Europe, and what can Germany learn from them?
  Highlights include presentations from the French Health Data Hub and the Nordic VALO (Value from Nordic Health Data) project coordinated by Sitra. In addition, EU projects such as HDP4Germany and TEHDAS2, as well as national actors like the Health Data Lab (FDZ Gesundheit), genomDE, and the cancer registries, will provide insights into their work. Talks and panel discussions will focus on experiences, challenges, and lessons learned—supplemented by ample networking opportunities.
• Day 2 is reserved exclusively for Direct Grant Receivers working on the establishment of Health Data Access Bodies (HDABs) within the EHDS2 Community of Practice. The focus will be on exchanging ideas for concrete collaboration opportunities between European partners.

Second HealthDCAT-AP Webinar

In the context of the public consultations of the TEHDAS2 documents, DACO is organizing a second HealthDCAT-AP Webinar. The session will present and discuss the current results and place them in the context of national implementation.

National Stakeholder Meeting on EHDS Infrastructure in Germany

Building a decentralised infrastructure for data use in Germany involves many open questions. To help structure this process, DACO is planning an initial information and working meeting for national stakeholders. Further details and the official invitation will follow in November.

DACO looks forward to many registrations and to working together on the next steps in shaping health data use in Germany and Europe.
