EU and International
The executive department “European and International Affairs“ aims at improving the BfArM’s position as well as the information management on international developments throughout the European Union and internationally. International collaborations promote networking and exchange between BfArM and public health actors, and contribute to global health protection. The executive department coordinates the representation of the BfArM at European and international levels in cross-functional EU bodies (HMA, CHMP) and working groups of the European Medicines Agency (EMA). Furthermore, the executive department advises the management level and acts as rapporteur for decrees of the Federal Ministry of Health (BMG) concerning international requests and EU policy issues.
