The Federal Institute for Drugs and Medical Devices (Bundesinstitut für Arzneimittel und Medizinprodukte, BfArM) as an independent federal authority within the portfolio of the Federal Ministry of Health (Bundesministerium für Gesundheit, BMG) is subject to the Federal Data Protection Act (Bundesdatenschutzgesetzes (BDSG)).
Whenever a user requests a file from the web content provided by the BfArM, data on these events will be stored in a log file. This log file includes the following data for each access/retrieval:
- Date and time,
- Page/file accessed,
- Amount of data transferred,
- Notification as to whether data retrieval was successful.
The data stored will be analysed for statistical purposes only; it will not be disclosed to third parties nor will it be used otherwise. All data stored will be deleted after twelve months.
Wherever this website offers the possibility of entering personal or business data (E-Mail address, name, postal address), the user's divulgement of this information takes place on an expressly voluntary basis. As with all other data, this data will be treated confidentially and will not be disclosed to third parties.
