Ev3 Inc. conducts a recall of the XSizer® Thrombectomy-Catheter System, model numbers XR-CS1150-45 and XR-CS1200-55. Specific lots, produced after June 6, 2005, may lose operating vacuum during use due to a system leak. This failure can lead to the inability to complete the procedure of thrombus removal.
