The Medtronic Physio-Control issued a Field Safety Notice concerning the termination of production and distribution of the External Sterilizable Defibrillation Hard Paddles used with Lifepak 9, Lifepak9P, Lifepak 12 and Lifepak 20/20e defibrillators. The corresponding Pediatric Paddle attachments will be continued to be produced and distributed but their use will be not longer recommended as a sterilizable product. These products meet not any longer current cleaning and sterilization standards.
