Urgent Safety Notice for the automated external defibrillators HeartStart Home and OnSite (HS1), Philips Healthcare

Philips Healthcare has issued a Field Safety Notice concerning a corrective action of the automated external defibrillators (AEDs) HeartStart Home and OnSite (HS1) M5066A and M5068A. Due to a contamination of the contact pins by residue from the soldering process the contact between the pads cartridge and AED may be poor. There is the risk that the device may be unable to deliver therapy in an emergency. The affected devices will be replaced.
