Dräger Medical AG & Co KG has issued a Field Safety Notice concerning a corrective action on spring-loaded arms in Sola 300 examination lights installed between 2001 and 2003. Spring arms with a plastic joint, which can be identified by its bent extension arm, carry under certain circumstances an increased risk of the joint breaking suddenly and unexpectedly. The affected spring-loaded arms will be exchanged for the latest spring-loaded arm with aluminium alloy casting joint.
