Philips Medizin Systeme GmbH issued a Safety Notice about memory artefacts on patient images concerning Essenta DR X-ray systems with software version 1.0.2. Bright artefacts may appear on a patient image from a previous exposure, particularly when the detector receives direct radiation due to inappropriate collimation. A software upgrade to version 1.0.3 is planned.
