GE Healthcare has issued a Field Safety Notice concerning recent findings of already identified safety issues with OEC 9800 X-ray systems (Safety Notices dated on 2007-02-12 and 2009-02-17). There is an increase in occurrence if the system is powered down or shut off while the system is actively working to save or retrieve data to or from the internal hard drive. Systems with software version 29 and Celeron Single Board computer are affected.
