Varian Medical has issued a Field Safety Notice concerning the adequate handling of the PaxScan 4336R power cable. When the cable is damaged due to excessive bending / twisting or mistreatment, there is a risk of a resulting cable short and excessive heat. Warning labels and replacement cables were provided.
